For example, the Body Mass Index, a measure of your amount of fat, provides for an easy way to determine if you are overweight. This is extremely helpful in light of the fact that obesity is a leading preventable cause of death worldwide.

This first calculator is the BMI, or body mass index. This calculator has been showing to be an excellent indicator of your level of body fat. And, your level of body fat is an indicator of your mortality rate.


The Hip-to-Waist ratio, like the BMI, is another indicator of your body's fat content. But, unlike the BMI, it takes the shape of your body into account when determining your level of health. And, it has been shown that people with "apple-shaped" bodies (with more weight around the waist) face more health risks than those with "pear-shaped" bodies (with more weight around the hips).


The WHtR is a measure of the distribution of your body fat. Higher values of WHtR indicate higher risk of obesity-related cardiovascular diseases.
